She was the league’s MVP in 2014 as well as winning Rookie of the Year. She was drafted No 1 by the Lynx in 2011 and averaged 18.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.7 steals for Minnesota. ![]() Moore was one of the rare athletes to leave their sport in the prime of their career. Moore will be eligible for the hall of fame next year because she stopped playing four years ago. “We will always cherish her time in a Lynx uniform and we wish her the best as she continues to pursue this next chapter of her life.” “On behalf of the Minnesota Lynx organization, I want to congratulate Maya on an incredible basketball career,” Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve said. The 33-year-old Moore won four WNBA championships with the Minnesota Lynx, two Olympic gold medals with USA Basketball and two NCAA titles with UConn. I want to continue that in our next chapter.
